In order to fulfill the needs of our community and meet our mandate, Centre Greene raises funds to offset the deficit between operating costs and revenues. This enables us to keep our programs affordable, while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Now more than ever Centre Greene needs your help, in these times of economic turndown, more families than ever are relying on our sliding scale discounts. In order for us to continue serving our community, and offering discounts to lower income families, we need your donation. Income tax receipts are provided for all monitary donations. Please give generously!
Donations wishlist
- Locking filing cabinet
- PC computers or laptops (less than 4 years old, these are needed for administration for interns and employees)
- House plants to bring more life to the centre
- Office supplies
- Good condition toys for 1-5 year olds for our parents and tots playgroup
- We need several (matching if possible) folding chairs as ours are wearing out
- Good condition sports equipment
- Complete board games or puzzles
- Video game consoles and games

Book and Garage Sale item donations
Year-round Centre Greene accepts donations of books and good contition items for our community garage sale. We accept most items, with the exception of clothing and furniture (due to storage issues) though if furniture is dropped off the week prior to our garage sale they will be accepted. We thank you for all your donations!
Accessibility
Centre Greene is in the process of improving the accessibility of our building. We have alread installed a new showering facility and we hope to put in a wheelchair accessible washroom, and a ramp in the front of our building. This will improve access for wheelchairs and for people with strollers. Though we are seeking help from foundations for the funding of this project, we are also accepting private donations. As this project reqiures some major changes to our building's structure, the anticipated cost is slightly over $100,000. This will allow us to operate a barriers-free building, and open our doors to more of the population. Summer Campership Fund
For the past 6 years we have been very successful with the Centre Greene campership fund, and to date have sponsored over 85 free weeks of camp for children who would otherwise not be able to attend day camp. Thank you for your generosity. In 2012 we will be hosting our annual book sale with proceeds going entirely to the campership fund. We also accept any private donations from kind-hearted donors who wish to sponsor a week of camp for a deserving child. Annual Giving campaign

Thank you so much for your ongoing support; without it Centre Greene would not be able to survive.
